シメイレッド-シメイ「プルミエール」(750ml)は、1862年にトラピスト会の教父によってスクールモン修道院で醸造された最初のビールです。
その非常に魅力的な赤銅色で有名になりました。
クリーミーな泡でトップを飾り、発酵による軽く、フルーティなあんずのアロマを醸し出し、口の中に広がる味覚はまろやかで、芳香の中に微量のフルーツを感じさせます。
シルクのような感触を舌に伝えるその味は、かすかな苦味によって清涼感を増しながら、口の中に感じる、心地よい渋みがこのビールに非常によいバランスを与えています。
この上面発酵トラピストビールはボトル内で2次発酵しており、低温殺菌もされておりません。
現在のレシピは、セオドール教父が第二次世界大戦後に醸造所を改造した際に生み出したものです。
彼は醸造所の設立当初の元々のレシピに直接触発されました。
It's beautiful brown colour is awash with hues ranging from smoldering copper to deep ruby.
It's balanced blend of generous fruity flavours and toffee pleases every palate.
A succession of ripe fruits such as orange.
peach and apricot is paired exquisitely with sweet malty flavours such as nougat and biscuit.
Its refreshing minerality and smooth bitterness complete the palette of flavours.
The delightful pairing of aromas and flavours lingers well into the aftertaste and leaves the mouth eagerly anticipating the next sip.

Chimay Red was brewed for the first time in 1862.
It is the oldest of the Chimay trappist beers, hence its "Premiere" appellation in a 750ml bottles.

Our history began in 1850 when the priest of Virelles, Father Jean-Baptiste Jourdain, and the Prince of Chimay, Joseph de Riquet de Caraman, entrusted a mission to small group of monks from Westvleteren: to take up residence on the high plateau of Scoutmont with the aim, then as now, of “supporting the Chimay region”.
In order to do so, they decided to make beer from the water available in abundance on the marshy plateau. Later, they also began to produce cheese...
We also owe our history to the men and women who worked and still work in passing on this knowledge handed down through the generations and ensuring that the principles of Chimay are upheld.
