「バルブルビー」は5種類の「バルブ」シリーズのうちの1つです。 「Barbe」という名前は、リエージュの古い醸造所「Barbe d'Or」に由来しています。バルブドール醸造所は、ベルギーのリエージュの歴史的な市街地にある中世の醸造所で、リエージュの古い一族である「ロムゼ」家に属していました。ロムゼ家の紋章は「バルブ」ビールのロゴの一部となっています。
「バルブルビー」は混合発酵ビールで、ベースになるビールは、フランダース産のレッドブラウンエールです。これは「Barbe」ビールのフルーティーさが加わる大きな要因です。アーモンドとほんのり酸味のあるチェリーが混ざったフルーツのような味わい。 最初は甘さのあるフルーティーな味わいで、その後はさわやかな後味によってバランスが取られています。"Barbe Ruby" is one of the five "Barbe" beers. The name "Barbe" refers to the old Liège brewery "Barbe d'Or". Brewery Barbe d'Or was a medieval brewery in the historic city centre of Liège (Belgium) and belonged to the family "de Romsée", an old Liège family whose coat of arms is part of the logo for the "Barbe" beers. "Barbe Ruby" is a mixed fermentation beer. The base beer of "Barbe Ruby" is a Flemish Red-Brown Ale. It is the fruity variant in the range of "Barbe" beers. The taste has something of fruit mixed with almonds and slightly sour cherries. The "Barbe Ruby" initially has a sweet, fruity taste that is then nicely balanced by a fresh aftertaste.
