They say its wings bring thunder and its eyes flash lightening, but the Thunderbird's intensity is benevolent, its appearance a good omen. This bright IPA borrows its name to give a fresh retelling to a familiar story by keeping things lean, lucid and enlivening. Its dazzling tropical character comes thanks to a hop from North America, where these tales were first told.
Parrotdog / パロットドッグ
パロットドッグは、2011 年にマットという名の 3 人の男がおいしいビールを愛する気持ちから生まれました。 メンバーの1人がペットのオウムを飼っていて、お互いを「犬」と呼び合っていたことから名付けられたパロットドッグ（今では2人ともこの由来を少し恥ずかしいと認めている）は、2009年末にマット・クリストフスキーが当時のガールフレンドの父親からもらったキットで初めての自家醸造をした。彼はお金を節約するためにルームメイトのマット・ワーナーと力を合わせ、パーティーで自分たちのビールを提供し始めた。もちろん自家醸造所には名前が必要だったので、パロットドッグに決めた。ロンドンの友人が彼らのためにロゴをデザインし、それは今日まで使われている。

In Wellington, three friends called Matt were about to officially launch their brewery. Named for the fact one of them had a pet parrot and they called each other “dog” (an origin story they now admit to finding somewhat embarrassing), Parrotdog had been in existence in some form since the end of 2009, when Matt Kristofski did his first home brew on a kit given to him by the father of his then girlfriend. He joined forces with his flatmate Matt Warner to save money, and they began serving their beer at parties. The home brewery needed a name, of course, so Parrotdog it was. A friend in London even designed a logo for them, which remains in use to this day.
